Ever wonder what happens inside of a computer if you smoke traditional cigarettes around it constantly? User bluesoul on the popular content sharing site reddit posted the image above about a customer who brought in a computer for a free diagnostic checkup. This user smoked two packs a day for five years and evidently spent a good amount of that time on his computer. He also said that the casing was permanently stained because of this and the chords inside were stained as well. Amazingly the computer still worked!
This particular part is called the “heat sink”. The main purpose of the heat sink is to act as a cooling device for the parts that do all the computing. Think of it like the radiator of a car but for your computer. As you can see from the image smoking traditional cigarettes around your computer can do some major cosmetic damage and possibly damage to the hardware as well. It’s incredible to see what just the smoke from traditional cigarettes can do.
